ABOUT US
PAHUNA NEPALESE & INDIAN CUISINE
To provide our customers with delectable Nepalese and Indian cuisine prepared using only the finest and most genuine ingredients. A little background on who we are and where we came from can be a good place to start.
As our names suggest, we specialize in Nepalese and Indian cuisine, so here's a little backstory on how we came to create our Plymouth restaurant.
Nepal, a beautiful country, is praised all over the world, particularly in the United Kingdom, because Nepal and the UK worked together in difficult times to bring peace and harmony to the country. In the United Kingdom, we Nepalese are known as Gorkhas. We Nepalese are well-known for our excellent service and hospitality, and we appreciate everyone's warm compliments. Nepal, on the other hand, is a small landlocked country in South Asia. We provide the opportunity for the entire world to see the world's highest mountain. Our culture and religion are becoming increasingly popular among people all over the world. The world remembers us for establishing Buddhism, and many visitors come to view the birthplace of the founder "Gautam Buddha”. Many people desire to try Nepalese food after visiting the country, so in order to give the same food that people enjoy in Nepal, PAHUNA restaurant was established for food lovers who enjoy both Nepalese and Indian cuisine. The fact that Nepal shares borders with both China and India has a number of advantages, as many of our cuisine items are a mix of Chinese and Indian recipes. Our motto is "ATITHI DEVO BHAVA," which translates to "Our Guests Are God." So, if you're seeking food that you've had in Nepal or India and want to taste it, you can do so at Our Restaurant. We at Pahuna feel deeply that when our guests come to our restaurant or order food online our first and foremost priority is that each and every guest is well looked after and we make sure that the food is nice and hot for you to enjoy.

A little history about Nepalese food and spices
Dal Bhat:- The famous stable food of Nepal
Dal Bhat is a common diet in every Nepalese household and is typically served with vegetable curry or chicken and Nepalese Achar (pickle). This is the most popular cuisine among Nepalese people because it is nutritious and wholesome.
In addition to Dal Bhat, many Nepalese districts consume Dhildo (millet baked flatbread), potato curry, momo, thuppa, lapping, or strong alcohol such as tongba
(millet juice) on a regular basis.
Momo is a sort of steamed dumpling that has a filling within. Momo has become a traditional delicacy in Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and the Indian states of Darjeeling, Ladakh, Sikkim, Assam, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as among Nepalese and Tibetan communities in India. It is known as Mamtoo in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan area.
Salt, ginger, garlic, Szechuan pepper (timmur), fenugreek seeds, turmeric, cumin, coriander, asafoetida, and green chillies are the most regularly used spices in Nepal. Ajwain seeds, cloves, Cardamon, Bay leaves, Mustard seeds, and other spices are less prevalent.
You can either dine in or order food online if you are in Plymouth and want to try authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine. At Pahuna, we strive to incorporate Nepalese herbs and spices into your meal so you may experience both Nepalese and Indian cuisine.
Our business is built on customer experience, and we are here to Serve you.
